Between calling out orders and washing dishes at a deli in Bettendorf, Iowa, the founding members of Le Roy (Luh-Roy) wrote their first batch of nerdy and dirty songs in 2005 to the beat of a Casio SA-21 keyboard and the hum of a sandwich oven.  Encouraged by the online reception of these tracks, Zilla, Seanye “Bearclaw” West, and Nasty Nate relocated to Chicago in 2007, refined their live show and expanded their song list.

With friend and dancer Baby Gaga, Le Roy has pleased audiences at respected comedy clubs like Chicago’s Jokes and Notes and established music venues like Davenport’s Redstone Room as well as lesser known spots in Kansas City, Louisville and throughout the Midwest.  They have also made appearances on morning radio programs hosted by Chicago comedian and Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me Panelist Brian Babylon.

Releases

Le Roy’s first studio album Double Masterpiece was released on October 18th, 2011.  The culmination of a five year journey from the deli to the recording studio, this album mixes old school hip-hop flavors with a mash-up of 808 beats, unforgettable samples, science facts, obscure pop-culture references and avant-garde lyrics for something uniquely nerdy and dirty.
